How to make bridal makeup last through your wedding night

Model: Alexandra Vara)
So you're getting married...Congratulations!  Now you just have one problem: how do you make your makeup last through the ceremony, reception, and wedding night?  Read below and find out!
  1.  Prep with primers.  Foundation primer is a great tool that can help foundation go on more smoothly and stay in place all day.  My favorite is Korres Antiageing Primer.  Primers are also available for the eyes, and they keep shadows from creasing and fading.  I recommend Tarte Lifted Eyelid Primer.
  2. Use waterproof products.  There's nothing like a wedding to bring out the tears of happiness.  Ward off raccoon eyes with waterproof eye products, such as Tarte's Lights! Camera! Splashes! Waterproof Mascara and Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner.
  3. Finish with a setting spray. When using powdered mineral foundations, use a setting spray such as Jane Iredale's D20 Mist Spray.  For real staying power, you may need to bring on the chemicals.  Consider Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray or Model in a Bottle.  Be sure to close your eyes and hold your breath when spraying.
  4. Keep blotting papers handy.  Stick these handy sheets in your touch-up kit to remove excess oils and moisture.  Your photographer will thank you, and your makeup will last longer.  E.L.F. offers a very reasonable set of papers; more expensive papers by Jane Iredale come in a case pretty enough to give as a gift.
Follow these tips or consult your bridal makeup professional, and you'll be well on your way to waking up as a beautiful, married woman!
