Review: Ecco Bella Flower Color Bronzing Powder

When my clients ask me to give them a straighter nose, thinner face, or more prominent cheekbones, I immediately reach for bronzer.  This powerful tool can be used to create the illusion of shadows in just the right places, forming a polished look.  Ecco Bella makes a lovely Flower Color Bronzing Powder.  I tried it in Hibiscus (70).

Pros:
  • Subtle, natural bronzer
  • Very natural ingredients
  • Comes in a recyclable paperback compact
  • Has a nice, subtle sheen
  • Includes a mirror and a puff
Cons:
  • Powder loosens in larger amounts when using a brush
Summary:
This is a good, solid bronzer.  I'd recommend the slightly darker shade, Sunflower (71), for light to medium skin tones.  The lighter shade I tested provides a very subtle shading effect on fair skin.  The purity of the ingredients and sleek, sustainable packaging help justify the price ($21.95).  The only change I'd like to see is to have the powder pressed a bit tighter so I get a smaller amount when I swirl up bronzer with my brush.
