Review: LUSH Sugar Scrub

One of the best ways to get soft, glowing skin is to exfoliate. There are many different exfoliating products out there, and one of the most popular is the sugar scrub. LUSH put its own twist on the sugar scrub by offering it as a solid bar instead of a paste.

Pros:
  • Leaves skin soft and glowing
  • Affordable
  • Refreshing fragrance
  • Each bar can be used multiple times
Cons:
  • Can get a bit messy
Summary:
This sugar scrub started out pretty hard, but it softens fairly quickly under water. This means that it can sometimes get messy. I would recommend just getting it a tiny bit wet and then loosening a small chunk to use. It was very effective as an exfoliator, and the added oils helped to keep skin feeling soft and moisturized. It has a fragrance, and it will stay with you after the shower. I was disappointed to see that this ranked a 5 on EWG's Skin Deep database, mainly due to fragrance and cocamide DEA. I was glad that it was made with vegan ingredients and is affordably priced. If you're looking for a gentle, affordable exfoliator, LUSH offers a unique vegan option.
