Review: Goddess Garden Facial Sunscreen

Note: Packaging has been updated.
My dermatologist recommends wearing at least SPF 30 daily for sun protection. While I've found a variety of products for the body, there are fewer that are formulated for the face. Goddess Garden offers a Facial Sunscreen based on a line designed for sensitive skin.

Pros:
  • Water resistant and reef-safe
  • Mostly organic ingredients
  • Non-greasy
  • Absorbs quickly
  • Broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) protection
Cons:
  • More expensive than conventional sunscreens
Summary:
This sunscreen is light and suitable to wear under makeup. There is no "sunscreen smell" and it is scented with essential oils. The current formula is 85% organic and the gentle ingredients rate a low 2 on EWG's Skin Deep scale. I love how is absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy. It's also great to see that a formula with a good texture like this one is both vegan and gluten-free. The price is a bit higher than conventional sunscreens, but this is a much safer options. I have even seen this locally, at a nearby Whole Foods, which would help cut down on shipping fees. If you're looking for a lightweight facial sunscreen, Goddess Garden offers a nice choice.
