Review: Golden Path Alchemy Purify Herbal Cleanser

Liquid cleansers have become commonplace, but many are filled with preservatives and other hazardous ingredients. Even natural cleansers can often have ingredient lists with 20 or more items, exposing you skin to more potential allergens. If you have sensitive skin or are looking for something simpler, try powdered cleansers such as the Purify Herbal Cleanser or Illuminate Cleansing Grains from Golden Path Alchemy.

Pros:
  • Very gentle formulations
  • Contain organic ingredients
  • Light exfoliating effect
  • Travel well
  • Both left face feeling clean but not dry

Review: Frownies Immune Shield Skin Serum

My arms have taken in a lot of sun lately in the hot Texas summer, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to test out a product that would help "repair and protect" my skin against sun damage. Frownies makes an Immune Shield Skin Serum that is supposed to nourish and protect the skin. The box claims that it can lighten skin as well, but I was skeptical at first.

Pros:
  • Seems to gradually lighten and even out skin tone
  • Helps skin recover from sun and environmental damage
  • Absorbs quickly
  • Mild scent
  • Moisturizing
  • Leaves skin feeling silky
