Review: Glo Minerals Concealer Under Eye

I have had chronic under eye circles since I was a teenager. While some eye creams can help, I still need a great concealer to hide my gray-blue circles. I used to wonder why I was having so much trouble finding a concealer until I tried my first split corrector/concealer product. Instead of simply covering the color, the correcting peach helps to neutralize the blue-gray. I can use a smaller amount of product and the result is flawless. While there are some great natural split concealers on the market, I have only found one without beeswax: Glo Minerals Concealer Under Eye.

Pros:
  • Excellent at balancing hues in under eye area
  • Nice creamy/waxy consistency
  • Comes in four shades that will match most skin tones
  • The two colors can be blended for an exact match
  • A little goes a long way
  • Can double as a light foundation, especially is used over primer
Cons:
  • Relatively expensive ($31)
Summary:
I really like Glo's under eye concealer and have incorporated it into my makeup routine. I recommend applying the corrector color first with a concealer brush and then patting on a light layer of the nude hue to blend away and lines.  I often cover my under-eye area and then use the nude tone to lightly cover any other redness. Beige works great for my very fair skin but Glo also offers three other shades to match other skin tones. I would love to see a version in recyclable packaging and perhaps a reformulation to remove vitamin A (retinyl palmitate).

  1. Ooh I really wanted to try this until you mentioned the retinyl in it. I don't understand why so many natural brands overlook this one... so frustrating!
