Review: Frownies Immune Shield Skin Serum

My arms have taken in a lot of sun lately in the hot Texas summer, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to test out a product that would help "repair and protect" my skin against sun damage. Frownies makes an Immune Shield Skin Serum that is supposed to nourish and protect the skin. The box claims that it can lighten skin as well, but I was skeptical at first.

Pros:
  • Seems to gradually lighten and even out skin tone
  • Helps skin recover from sun and environmental damage
  • Absorbs quickly
  • Mild scent
  • Moisturizing
  • Leaves skin feeling silky
Cons:
  • May be used up quickly if used on body
Summary:
Frownies Immune Shield surprised me by having a slight lightening effect on the farmer's tan on my arms.  Whenever I applied it, it was absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling soft.  I didn't have a way to measure if it was helping repair sun damage, but I didn't experience any severe burns since I began wearing it.  My main suggestion for improvement is to improve the scent a bit; I found it odd that the smell reminded me of bread or pasta.  I would also love to see it come in a recycled and recyclable dispenser.
