Review: Earth Science Chamomile & Green Tea Eye Makeup Remover

When I first switched over to natural products, I needed a new makeup remover. I went to my local health food store and tried to find one that was gentle, affordable, and readily available. Earth Science's Chamomile & Green Tea Eye Makeup Remover fit the bill, and it has been a favorite ever since.

Pros:
  • Removes all makeup, including waterproof makeup
  • Thicker consistency
  • Fragrance free
  • Good performance even on other areas, such as hands
  • Affordable
  • Retail availability
Cons:
  • May be difficult to apply makeup directly after use
Summary:
I have found this makeup remover at a variety of health food stores across the U.S. and have recommended it to several people. It is gentle, fragrance-free, and effective. I have even used it in my makeup kit, both on clients and to remove makeup from my outer hand (which I sometimes use as a palette).

The only real downside I've found to using this in a kit is that it has vitamin E and other moisturizing ingredients that are great for nightly use, but can sometimes hinder a fresh makeup application if traces of the remover remain on the skin. I recommend applying with a cotton pad or ball and gently swiping with a dry portion of cotton if you plan to apply makeup directly afterwards.

I was glad to see that this rated a low 2 on EWG's Skin Deep scale. If you're looking for a dependable remover that you can find in a variety of health food stores, Earth Science offers a great option.
