Review: Afterglow Cosmetics Concealer Brush

When it comes to concealer brushes, I'm quite particular. I want a brush that is large enough to pick up the right amount of creamy concealer so it glides on smoothly. I want the bristles to be slick and tapered at the ends. I want a long handle, and a brush versatile enough that I could also use it on lips, in a pinch. In other words, I want a brush just like the Afterglow Cosmetics Concealer Brush.

Pros:
  • Soft taklon (vegan) bristles
  • Long handle
  • Slick bristles with a tapered end
  • Easy to clean
  • Ideal shape and size
  • Lifetime guarantee
Cons:
  • A bit of an investment
Summary:
This concealer brush is a great size. The tapered ends make it easy to apply concealer softly in delicate areas such as under the eyes. The long handle is nice for working on clients, or for home use. I really appreciate the cruelty-free aspect, and how it uses synthetic taklon bristles. The only improvement I'd like to see is eco-friendly handles, from bamboo or perhaps recycled plastic. This brush washed up well, and I highly recommend proper brush care to make it last. While the brush itself is a bit of an investment, it does come with an outstanding lifetime guarantee, which I haven't seen from other companies. If you're looking for a great concealer brush, Afterglow's is an ideal option.
