Review: Max Green Alchemy Chap Defense Lip Balm

Lip balms are often vegetarian, but rarely vegan. It's a treat to find one that is certified vegan, especially one with stylish packaging that a man would be proud to carry around. One such balm is Max Green Alchemy's Chap Defense Lip Balm.

Pros:
  • Easy to apply (soft wax texture)
  • Affordable ($4)
  • Mostly organic ingredients
  • Very moisturizing
  • Light mint/tea tree flavor
  • Mild taste

Review: Max Green Alchemy Scalp Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner

It's easy to find an effective dandruff shampoo in the drugstore, but many contain harsh chemicals and often have an unpleasant smell.  Fortunately, Max Green Alchemy found a way to create a line of hair products that is natural, smells lovely, and is also suitable for vegans.  There are also many options for those who are gluten-free.  This great line is called Scalp Rescue, and I reviewed the shampoo and conditioner below.

Pros:
  • Nice fresh lemony scent
  • Effectively addresses scalp problems
  • Leaves hair clean and manageable
  • Can be left on for greater effect or rinsed immediately
  • Avoids the use of many harsh chemicals, such as SLS
  • Safe for color-treated hair
