Review: Rejuva Minerals Luscious Berries Facial Oil

I am often asked for tinted moisturizer or liquid foundation recommendations. While there are a few products that I typically recommend, I recently learned about a different way to create an even gentler tinted moisturizer. This involves making your own, using a gentle mineral powder foundation and an oil, such as Rejuva Minerals Luscious Berries Facial Oil.

Pros:

• A little goes a long way
• Affordable
• Suitable for many skin types
• Very gentle formula
• 100% organic ingredients
  

Cons:

• Should be applied sparingly

Summary:
This oil is extremely gentle, ranking a 0 on EWG's Skin Deep scale. It comes in a bottle with a pump applicator, which makes it easy to apply. Be sure to apply sparingly, and blot of any excess with a tissue (if not absorbed within a few minutes). I love how the formula is organic and priced very reasonably, especially considering the competition. The only drawback I found is that it may not be available locally, so you may have to pay a shipping cost. Otherwise, it's a good oil for almost any skin type (perhaps with the exception of oily skin).

In the interest of full disclosure, I wanted to mention that I have been working with Rejuva Minerals recently, both as a consultant and also to make video tutorials. One of these videos I was assigned was to demonstrate how to use this oil to make a tinted moisturizer. You can view the video here. I had never heard of mixing your own tinted moisturizer before this, but it is certainly a one way to make a fresh, preservative-free foundation (depending on the makeup you use). It was easier than I expected, and, to me, makes this a much more versatile product.
