How to Remove False Eyelashes

(Photo: alli hearts)
This is the third article in a three-part series.  For general tips on false eyelashes, see my post, "Flawless False Eyelashes."  For application instructions, see "How to Apply False Eyelashes."

Removing strips:
  1. Fold a tissue in half and place it under your eye, to catch any stray remover.
  2. Apply waterproof makeup remover on a cotton ball or swab to loosen the glue.  (Olive oil will also do the trick.)
  3. The lashes should loosen within two minutes and easily be removed.
  4. If lashes cannot be removed without pulling, repeat steps 2-3.
  5. Note: Steam from a shower can also help loosen lashes.
Removing individual lashes:
  1. Fold a tissue in half and place it under your eye, to catch any stray remover.
  2. Dip an eyeliner brush into Lashfree adhesive remover or try a waterproof makeup remover.
  3. Close your eye slightly, and gently brush the adhesive remover over the false lashes.
  4. The lashes should loosen and easily be removed.
  5. If lashes cannot be removed without pulling, repeat steps 2-4.
