Eco-Friendly Groupon and Haute Look Alternatives

(Photo: Groupon)
Groupon has pratically become a household name, and sites such as Haute Look have bargain hunters setting alarms to snag the best deals. However, not all of these featured deals are good for the environment or suitable to vegan or gluten-free lifestyles. Check out these fun alternative deal sites for great deals on beauty items and other fun products and services.

  • Vegan Cuts - A site that offers weekly deals exclusive to the site.  All products are vegan.  This site is target at those in the U.S., but sometimes offers are available to Canadians and online.
  • Pure Citizen - A flash sale site that offers a new deal each weekday.  When making a purchase, there is an option to save a little less and donate the difference to charity.  Products are usually from environmentally or socially conscious companies.
  • Eco Bold - A site that offers discounts on sustainable, non-toxic, natural, and recyclable products.  Video reviews accompany each product page and some items may be exclusive to the Eco Bold site.
  • Blissmo - One discount a day from organic, eco-friendly , or socially-conscious companies.  Also offers a monthly subscription program for selected Blissmo items.

These daily deal sites can be a fun way to find out about products and services that are suited to eco-friendly liftstyles.  I highly recommend taking them for a test drive.  Just be sure to purchase wisely, as eco-friendly products still take many resources to manufacture and transport.
