Review: Kiss My Face Moisture Shave

Shaving creams can make the difference between a smooth shave and a bad shave. Kiss My Face was one of the first brands I tested out when I made the shift to cruelty-free shaving cream, as it was available in my local health food store. Read on to see how their moisture shave measures up.

Pros:
  • Forms a nice lather
  • Nice pump dispenser
  • Smooths skin and hairs
  • Biodegradable
  • Fragrance-free formula available
  • Both vegan and gluten-free
Cons:
  • Contains vitamin A
Summary:
Kiss My Face Moisture Shave has recently been reformulated to be "greener," a change which, I was glad to see, included the removal of parabens. The newer formulas still rate between 3-5 on EWG's Skin Deep scale, mainly due to the use of Rentinyl Acetate (vitamin A) in all shaves and "fragrance" in scented shaves. However, the fragrance-free version is still much gentler than most conventional shaving creams. I love how it is affordable and available in many retail stores. If you're looking for a shaving cream that performs well and is readily available, seek out Kiss My Face's fragrance-free Moisture Shave.
