Review: Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash

Note: Packaging has been
updated.
When I first had a bikini wax from one of the top estheticians in L.A., she recommended I use an affordable face wash to keep my bikini area free from ingrown hairs. This is how I discovered Desert Essence's Thoroughly Clean Face Wash, a product which is also an excellent face wash for combination to oily skin.

Pros:
  • Easy to apply
  • Very gentle formula
  • Light, pleasant scent
  • Effective cleanser
  • Affordable
  • Retail availability
Cons:
  • Liquid consistency
Summary:
I fell in love with this face wash, and I have depended on it for many years. It has a liquid consistency, so I use it in the shower, dispensing some into my hands and rubbing them together to lather. You could also put it into a foaming dispenser if you prefer. I used this so often that I even bought the bulk size, which is a good value. This wash is quite gentle, rating a low 1 on the EWG Skin Deep database. The formula is gluten-free and vegan. If you need a face wash to help with occasional breakouts, this is one of my favorites.
