Review: Ren Skincare Active 7 Radiant Eye Maitenence Gel

I've tried several different types of eye treatments, but one of the best for puffy eyes are gels. Some experts recommend putting eye treatments such as these in the refrigerator for a soothing cooling effect as well. One I tested recently was Ren's Active 7 Radiant Eye Maintenance Gel.

Pros:
  • Soothing, cooling effect
  • Gently tightens and firms eye area
  • Can be worn under makeup
  • Lightweight formula
  • Gentle ingredients
Cons:
  • Fairly expensive ($30 for 0.5 oz)
Summary:
This eye gel was a nice, lightweight formula that seemed suitable for daytime and/or nighttime use. It had a gentle tightening effect and felt cool against my skin. I didn't notice a big difference in dark circles; mainly I saw an improvement in texture. I was pleased to see that it came in at a very low 1 on EWG's Skin Deep database. I was also glad to hear that all but two of REN's products are suitable for vegans. While a little goes a long way, it is not a budget eye gel, as it comes in around $30 for 0.5 oz. However, it is effective if you want a soothing eye treatment with gentle ingredients.
