Review: Christopher Drummond Saude Pele Radiance Booster

Highlighters can work wonders on the skin. Adding a little "glow" will really brighten a complexion, helping to create a more youthful, energetic appearance. I often use highlighters on brides, as that glow is like a hint of magic. Many highlighters come in a cream or lotion form and contain several ingredients that I prefer to avoid. Fortunately, Christopher Drummond Beauty offers a nice highlighter with very pure ingredients: the Saude Pele Radiance Booster.

Pros:
  • Soft luminizing effect
  • Flattering golden shade
  • Very gentle ingredients
  • A little goes a long way
Cons:
  • Luxury price (starts at $70)
Summary:
If you're looking for a very natural, subtle highlighter, the Saude Pele Radiance Booster is a fun option. Like other loose powder products, it is best applied with a powder or blush brush. The sifter jar is a nice touch and helps prevent spills. I would love to see this product offered in a silver-toned version in the future and perhaps in a trial size for those who can't afford a full-sized product.

  1. That sounds nice but the price tag is kind of absurd. I'm all for paying for luxury when it means quality, but I can't imagine what would justify that price.

  2. Mary...here are a few points to know about the product
    1) The quoted price is for a full sized jar of product, a full sized application brush ($29 retail value), a travel jar to house product in, a sifter and a spatula. This is a kit, not just one single product
    2) You use such a small amount of product, it easily lasts a year (if not more).
    3) The ingredients used are the highest quality on the market. They are produced in very small batches to ensure purity. The product is also made by hand in the USA.

I hope this makes a little more sense on why this is a premium product, and why it is carried in such places as the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons in LA...
