Review: Glad Rags Organic Hankies

Handkerchiefs may sound quaint and old-fashioned, but they are actually quite useful. I used a single handkerchief for years to swap out my flute. Handkerchiefs can also be much gentler on the face when dealing with a cold or allergies. If you're looking for a great option, Glad Rags makes some wonderful Organic Cotton Hankies.

Pros:
  • Very soft
  • Reusable
  • Can be utilized for many purposes
  • 100% Organic
  • Safe for those with allergies
Cons:
  • Will need a large stock during cold or allergy season
Summary:
Organic cotton handkerchiefs are one of the most eco-friendly alternatives to traditional disposable tissues.  Glad Rags sells both regular and large sizes in packs of three ($16.99 and $17.99, respectively).  Although it is an initial investment, these handy hankies are reusable and will pay for themselves in no time.  I highly recommend them for those looking for eco-friendly alternatives to disposable kleenex and towels.  Consider getting one set to start if you're on a budget; every disposable kept out of a landfill makes a difference.

  1. Oh, since my husband leaves tissues in his pocket all winter, this will also save my black sweaters!
