Review: Hugo Naturals Grapefruit Lip Balm

As a makeup artist, I use balms that taste good, have natural ingredients, and are very safe for my clients.  Not everyone is a fan of peppermint balms, so I'm always on the lookout for alternative vegan options.  Hugo Naturals make a fun lip balm that comes in delicious flavors good enough to eat.  I tested the grapefruit flavor.

Pros:
  • Nice smooth texture, between waxy and buttery
  • Lovely scent
  • Great mint balm alternative
  • Readily available at many Whole Foods locations
  • Affordable ($3.49)
  • Available in two other flavors
  • Very safe and pure ingredients
Cons:
  • Can be expensive to order by mail if not ordering with other items
Summary:
I really like Hugo Naturals' lip balm and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves fruity flavors.  It has no gluten ingredients and is suitable for vegans.  I would love to see even more fun flavors in the future.  If you can't find it in your local store, I recommend requesting it or picking one up as a part of a larger order from Hugo Naturals, as all their products are cruelty-free, vegan, and gluten-free.
