Review: Gourmet Body Treats Plumping Lip Gloss

Note: Packaging has
been updated.
Lip plumpers can be a fun way to enhance your pout. Some lip glosses include plumping ingredients, but if you're a big fan, you might want a more versatile product. Gourmet Body Treats has a Plumping Lip Gloss that comes in a sheer shade that can be applied over other lip colors, or worn on its own.

Pros:
  • Yummy citrus taste
  • Can be applied over other lip colors
  • Gentle formula
  • Contains organic ingredients
  • Easy to apply
  • Vegan and gluten-free
Cons:
  • May be hard to find locally
Summary:
If you look at the ingredients in conventional lip plumpers, there are often several questionable items. Gourmet Body Treats formulated this lip gloss with their pure and natural ingredient policy, and even uses organic ingredients. It rates about a 3 on the EWG Skin Deep database, mainly because of the clove oil. This gloss has a subtle plumping effect, but the tingly sensation might not be for everyone. However, I like the idea of a sheer, versatile plumper that can be used over any other color, making this particular item more of a value. If you're a fan of lip plumpers and are looking for a sheer, natural glossy version, this is a great option.
