Review: Beautiful Curls Curl Enhancing Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner

Natural shampoos are frequently vegan and/or gluten-free, but the conditioners can sometimes be a real challenge. Many have silk protein (not vegan) or wheat protein (not gluten-free). So when you're looking for a specialty hair product, such as a shampoo and conditioner set for curly hair, finding one that is both vegan and gluten-free can be tough. Fortunately, Beautiful Curls rose to the challenge and created a set of a curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner.

Pros:
  • Lovely scent
  • Shampoo cleanses well
  • Natural ingredients
  • Made with fair trade shea butter
  • Hair felt moisturized after use

Review: Beautiful Curls Curl Defining Gel

I used to deny my hair's natural texture, blow drying it into submission. Since I've embraced my natural waves, I've been on the lookout for products catered to my hair. Brands such as Beautiful Curls offer a range of products for wavy to kinky hair, so I put their Curl Defining Gel to the test.

Pros:
  • Pleasant coconut/fruit smell
  • Moisturizing
  • Recyclable packaging
  • Helped hold texture in my hair
  • Made with fair trade shea butter
  • Gentle ingredients

Review: Beautiful Curls Curl Reviving Tonic

A few years ago, I went to see a great stylist in L.A. and he told me how I could bring out my natural waves and revive them the next day.  I found it hard to believe that curls could be redefined without a shower, but sometimes all you need is the right product.  I tested Beautiful Curls Curl Reviving Tonic to see if could put the bounce back in my waves.

Pros:
  • Nice scent
  • Leaves hair soft, not sticky
  • Helps revive waves and curls
  • Works well as a styling spray
  • Reduces frizz
  • Company contributes 10% of sales to charity
