Review: Cheeky Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer

When I first heard saw Cheeky Cosmetics on Etsy, I thought it was too good to be true.  Could there really be a company that offered a great selection of vegan (and often organic) cosmetics for a reasonable price?  I decided to put some of Cheeky's products to the test, starting with the Organic Eye Shadow Primer

Pros:
  • Helps shadow last longer
  • Prevents shadow from creasing
  • Can be used two ways: mixed with powders before application or layered under shadows
  • Very simple, natural ingredients
  • Great price and value
  • Handmade
Cons:
  • Ships from Canada, which can cause longer shipping times for U.S. customers
Summary:
Cheeky Cosmetics Eye Shadow Primer is one of the purest, most affordable options on the market.  The only suggestion I have for improvement is to consider reformulating to help eyeshadow last even longer (keeping shadow on for 12 hours as opposed to eight hours).  At just over $8, it is a fantastic bargain even with international shipping (less than $4).  Please note that the prices on the main website are in Canadian dollars, and the cosmetics are shipped from Canada.  While this is not an item you can run out and pick up at your local drugstore, it is a great product and deserves a try.
